A Bitter-sweet (but mostly bitter) Farewell
Within a week of moving to Rexburg, I started counting down the days to graduation - when I could get the heck out of the state of Idaho. Now that that day has finally come, I couldn't be more disappointed. Don't get me wrong; I still can't stand the winters that last until May, the complete lack of chain restaurants, or the half hour drive to get to something slightly resembling a mall, but for all of it's bad points, Rexburg still has that one winning factor - our friends. Our best friends, Rick and Jenny Runyan have made all the difference to us here. I know we couldn't have survived without their warm friendship and love. From the late-night talks about things like the times before we could fart in front of our spouses, to the weekly walk to G's, they have truly changed our lives. Not only are we best friends with them, but our kids are best friends too. People at church get confused by which kids are ours because Brooklyn and Aubrey are constantly being held by Rick and Jenny, and McKyla frequently climbs into our laps and gets cozy. Brooklyn adores McKyla, and McKyla adores Aubrey!! Just kidding! But honestly, the two (sometimes three) of them playing together have been some of my favorite memories here. ( I have 135 pictures of Brooklyn and McKyla together!) We can't thank them enough for all they have done for us, or begin to tell them how much we love and will miss them!

Milestones at the Webb Home
Okay, so this week there were three huge milestones in our family. First, Brooklyn and Aubrey played with each other all by themselves without any parental intervention! They are always good together, but it is rare to find them actually doing an activity together. We just thought it was so cute; they sat there for about 20 minutes just giggling and playing. Second, Brooklyn rode on the carousel! I have been trying all summer to convince her that it actually is fun, but to no avail. The first time we attempted, she screamed like she was being murdered! This time, she went right up to it and walked right on like she didn't have a care in the world. And she loved it! And lastly - Aubrey learned to crawl! Look out world, here she comes!!
