Just an ordinary day

Today was just an ordinary day - morning chores, bathtime, naptime, make cookies, and play all day.

Playing in the Snow

Brooklyn was delighted when she was able to go play in the snow while Luke was shoveling the sidewalk. She loves being outside - even if it's below 0! By the time we went back inside, she was covered in snow from head to foot, her nose was dripping like a faucet, her lips were turning blue, she could barely move her legs and she still cried when we made her come inside!!

Material Girl

Brooklyn found my lipstick in the diaper bag and knew exactly what to do with it. She loves playing with my makeup and knows exactly what each thing is used for! We are in for some very long pre-teen years with this one!!

Rexburg Temple Open House

We were able to attend the Rexburg Temple open house recently and we were amazed at how beautiful it is. There was such a wonderful spirit in the temple, and we know that it will bless this city tremendously. Brooklyn also loved the temple, especially the Celestial Room, in which she could not stop staring at the amazing chandelier. Afterward, we were able to take some pictures outside, and Brooklyn had a chance to play in the snow. She loves sticking her face down in it, and running as fast as she can on the icy sidewalks. As much as she loves, Aubrey hates it! We both were so miserable we could barely stand it!

On my first day of school this semester, I came home to this. Luke had given Brooklyn a fruit icecream dessert, and failed to realize that that could create a small problem. This is why dads shouldn't be moms.

Brooklyn and Aubrey got to meet Santa at the bank this year, and suprisingly, they both loved him! We thought Brooklyn might have a minor freak-out episode, but apparently she loves anyone who gives her candy, no matter how scary they look!

Saturday, December 8, 2007

Our new baby Aubrey Lyn was born on Thursday, December 6th at 1:27 pm. She weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz. and is 19 inches long. She loves to sleep and looks exactly like her older sister Brooklyn. She is extremely cuddly and so happy - we've only heard her cry once immediately after she was born!

Brooklyn is still a little confused by the whole situation, but so far she is doing great with her and we think she will be an awesome older sister.

Little Cowgirl

Brooklyn was a cowgirl for Halloween, but she absolutely refused to leave her cowgirl hat on for more than 12 seconds, so we had to snap some really quick pictures of her while Luke kept her distracted.

The one time that we actually have some cash and Brooklyn can't keep her hands off of it!!

Brooklyn and her best friend MaKyla - they think they are sisters.
