This summer we have been living in Washington DC while Luke is completing his internship with Senator Craig. We have loved it here, but we have also come to realize that we never want to live here!!
One thing that Luke has loved about his internship is the Senate softball team that he gets to be a part of. He gets to play on the lawn right in front of the Capitol Building. In his first game, he scored three home runs - I'm sure it's some kind of Senate record!
The worst thing about living here is the heat! It is so hot and humid everyday, but at least there are places around the city where we can wet our feet!!
The Smithsonian Museums have been some of our favorite things to see while we've been here. Seeing the "Puffy Shirt" from Seinfeld was a highlight for Luke.
We also loved going to Gettysburg. It was amazing to learn about the history of the Civil War and see some of the historical sights that make our country so wonderful!
