Two days ago Brooklyn started getting really sick, throwing up, diarrhea, and a high fever. She wasn't keeping any fluids down, so we knew she was getting extremely dehydrated, and finally we brought her in to the hospital. It was one of the worst experiences our family has ever been through. Brooklyn was so dehydrated that it was almost impossible for them to find a vein. They spent minutes holding her down and poking at her, trying to get an IV in to rehydrate her. It was really tough to watch. Then after they finally got it in, another nurse came in and said they needed to draw some blood for some lab tests, so she stuck her again, and after an unsuccessful attempt to get blood from her arm, she did it from her heel. Brooklyn had screamed herself hoarse by the time they were finally done. After a few hours, she got some fluids in and was looking a lot better, so we took her home. We're hoping she'll get better now, but the doctor says it usually lasts about seven days, and if she can't keep fluids down, we'll have to take her back in. So we desperately hope she'll keep drinking and it will stay down.

That is the saddest picture I have ever seen! Rotavirus seems like a nasty one, I wonder where she got it.....I would be a mess for sure, I hope she gets better soon! Let us know how she's doing! Hang in there you guys....
We'll be praying for you! Hallie had the stomach flu first before she passed it on to us. It was really bad too!! We took her to the pediatrician and it is finally at the end. It did take a FULL week though. It is terrible and heartwrenching. And I can't imagine what it must have felt like to watch her get poked and prodded at. I could just cry about it. You just don't realize how bad it is until you watch your own child go through it.
Poor little thing... nothing is worse then a sick kid, trust me we know. Hang in there and I know whe will snap out of it. The girls both have been really sick with everything under the sun. But they always be better when they come home. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help, meals, babysitting the healthy one. We know how hard it can be with two when one is so sick.
