Goats, Tractors, and Germs......... oh, my!

Despite our best efforts to drag summer out for as long as possible, fall is at our door.

And what better way to celebrate than to spend the day at a pumpkin patch? But this was not just any pumpkin patch. This pumpkin patch came with cows. And bunnies. And hay. And wagons. And tractors. And slides. And goats. And friends. And cars. And a corn pit (I'll explain...). And mini-tractors. And swings.

Really, oh my.

Does anyone else appreciate the autumn goodness that is spilling out of this picture?
Love it. My first time on a tractor.
I know... I'm a city girl.
This was one of the cute (although badly in need of a bath) little baby goats that was just hanging out with us.
I'm pretty sure that a few seconds after this picture was taken, Aubrey was laying face down in a pile of rocks and that little baby goat was long gone.
All she wanted was a hug!!
(This picture just makes me want to say in my deepest, manly voice, "Down; set; hike!!")
Now, the pumpkin patch was tons of fun, but I must add a slight disclaimer in case any of my Iowa friends decide to take their children to visit.
If you don't like germs, stay away.
Far, far away.
(For example, that little brown ball that Aubrey is holding in her tiny hand is NOT goat food. That happens to be rabbit turd. Yep, you heard me. Rabbit. Turd.)
You've been warned.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any dirtier, enter the Corn Pit.
It's corn. In a pit. And that inch of white dust on Brooklyn is what happens when you play in a pit full of corn.
Yummy.

A tire that was turned into a horse that was turned into a swing that was turned into a great time.
She thinks this tractor's sexy.

A few seconds after this picture was taken, both of my kids tried to suicide-dive out of the wagon because I had stopped to have our picture taken for 2 seconds. Kids these days...
The cutest pumpkin in the patch
A few seconds after this one was taken, Aubrey was laying on the grass screaming at the top of her lungs, "Let go of me!!! Let goooooooooooo!"
And a few seconds later she was fast asleep in her car seat.

Oh, my.

What a fun outing, even with the rabbit turd and inch of corn dust. The girls are growing up so fast I can't believe it! And you look so cute by the way (as always though!)
