TRUE LIES

These past few weeks (yes, I have become one of those people who blogs about things weeks after they take place), we've been up to a lot of stuff (...or have we...?)  And to get you up to speed on the life and times of the Webb family, you're just going to have to figure out what's true and what's not.

True or False: This week I was stalked by two ferocious tigers; later one velociraptor and his puppy Spike; and after surviving that encounter, I was adopted into a family of friendly wolves and taught how to hunt for squirrels.
TRUE.

True of False: I was gossiped about profusely by two girls who think I have no idea what they're saying about me.
FALSE.  I know very well what they're saying.
They're saying that I'm the best mom ever.

True of False: Aubrey floated away on a bunch of balloons.

TRUE.

True or False:  I have received more than 3 dozen flowers this week.
TRUE AND FALSE.  I received a bundle of flowers from Luke, I got a paper flower from Brooklyn from preschool, and I have received approximately 17 flowers a day from Aubrey. (If you count her "spring flowers" - aka the smallest little buds you've ever seen.)

True or False: Brooklyn went flying.
TRUE.

True or False: We attended the famous Pella Tulip Festival and witnessed a huge windmill,
the world's largest pair of Dutch shoes,
beautiful fountains and bridges,
the most darling, quaint little town you've ever seen,
and people walking around in full-blown Dutch garb and wooden shoes pushing a baby buggy like it's the most normal thing in the world.

 ALL TRUE.

True or False: At the Tulip Festival we consumed the following: A BBQ rib sandwich, 2 Mt. Dew's, nachos, a bag of Cheetos, a bratwurst, 2 water bottles, a cold cheese pizza, 1 lemonaid, celery, and pink cotton candy.
FALSE.  We did not eat celery.

TRUE OR FALSE: My kids let me get one perfect picture of them in the stunning tulip gardens that made it all worth the 45 minute lines and crowds of sweaty people.
SO FALSE.
But I did get a picture of the tulips without them.

True or False: Iowa is incredible.
TRUE.
True or False:
We have the most amazing friends in the world and they are all leaving us behind like total and complete losers.

Sad, but TRUE.

True or False:
I was treated like a queen on Mother's Day.  I was given the most thoughtful  presents (2 balloons, a back scratcher, a pedicure kit, a bowl full of sea shells, the most darling cards ever made, and a bag of gummy bears).  I was told 8 times how much I was loved.  And I didn't take a single picture all day.

FALSE.  I was told I was loved 12 times.  I counted.

True or False: Preschool is officially out and we are ready to party. it. up.
TRUE.
