David Bodia (the 2012 10-meter Olympic Gold Medalist) came to visit Redlands University this month, which is both
a.completely random and
b. absolutely insane
(That is the back of his head, and those are my divers.)
My sweet little diving team had the opportunity to have some personal David time after I walked up to him like a crazy stalker and introduced us all. He was the nicest person of all time + he was not phased by my obvious star-struckedness + he let me wear his GOLD MEDAL. Say WHAT?!?
Unfortunately, my camera battery had been removed from my camera the night before and had not been replaced. And then my back-up camera (yes, I brought a back-up camera) crapped out on me for good after 2 pictures.
CURSE YOU, UNIVERSE!!!
I about died right there at David Bodia's feet.
Luckily, there was a fancy schmancy photographer there for the event, and he hooked me up with all his pictures after I practically cried telling him about my unfortunate camera mishap and how I might never be happy again.
After hearing David's Olympic experience, I was seriously contemplating a diving comeback.
Maybe we could be syncro partners...
