'Twas A Week After Christmas

... and all through our house

one creature was stirring, and it wasn't a mouse

The mom was still up and trying hard not to care

But she hadn't blogged Christmas, ("Aaaah!  So much to share!")

The children were nestled all snug in their bed

(Except Cameron - who's driving me out of my head!)

And with so much to tell about our grand Christmas day

I better get started - cause it was happy and gay  (the old-school kind of gay, people.)

It started with skiing - but more on that later,

Then Christmas at Brittany's (Cameron got a new Mater)

We opened up presents and slept not-a-wink

With 5 peeps on an air mattress, what would you think?

Then we headed for Utah and drove through the snow

The roads were all icy and progress was slow

But our first stop, of course, was to Grandpa Lynn's grave

A snowman for him and some cards, the kids gave

Then off to a party with the family of Skidmore

And of course, once again, this bash wasn't a bore

The kids read a poem and went pinata-bashing-crazy

When it comes to free presents, these kids certainly aint lazy

Then off to the Webb's house where we had such a blast

With snow play and "Frozen", and Christmas at last

Grandma's eve party was a highlight for sure

I won 46 dollars - the rest is a blur.

The girls sang us songs and the boys bugged their mamas

And everyone 'twas thrilled with their Christmas pajamas!

Then on Christmas morn we woke bright and early

Cameron heard Santa had come - so unsurely...

We climbed up the stairs and low and behold,

Santa brought presents - more than we could hold!

Cameron got tractors and trucks and a Harley

That revs and it drives, and he thinks it quite gnarly.

Aubrey was thrilled with her dolls and Dream Light

Brooklyn's toy snake made her squeal with delight

Luke got a tablet (cause he was a VERY good boy)

Ashley got a Wii - which did fill her with joy.

Our Christmas was magical, cheery, and bright

And we hope yours was too - now peace out and Good Night!
