The Graduate

 He did it.
25 years of training and schooling.
Twenty. Five. Years.
And not only did he graduate from residency, he did it as the "Best Academic Resident."
I. MEAN.
Just when I think he actually can't be more amazing.
I am grateful for him and for his hard work.  I'm grateful for his enormously over-sized brain.  I'm grateful for his dedication and his enviable ability to not turn into a beast on less than 5 hours of sleep a night (unlike others who shall remain nameless).  And yes, I am even grateful for the time he's spent away from us because he's been spending it learning to take care of patients that need him.
I'm grateful for friends who became family and made our residency journey a great one.
 And just between us....
I'm (a little) grateful that it's over.
:)
