Sup, dudes!?!
This week we were able to head back to our beloved Californian coast. We soaked up some sun + became beach bums + caught up with our Residency Family + slayed a day at Disneyland + shredded our whale watching trip + loved hard on our Grandparents + spent a night being scallywagged by pirates + had the time of our lives.
Our trip started with a picnic + hike + tide-pool exploring shesh at Crystal Cove.
We didn't have long, because we headed straight from there to our
RESIDENCY REUNION.
We are basically just a loud + huge + happy family (with 1.3 million children between us all).
We spent the day at the resort pool (no pictures) and the night around the campfire. I can't remember a more complete night.
In the morning we headed to the beach and spent the whole day getting fried + catching crabs + splashing in the waves + hitting grand slams + taking selfies + hiking to the jetty + digging holes + having the time of our lives.
That night we had our own BBQ and said our goodbyes to our greatest friends.
(PS. Getting a picture of the 7 boys was 12.5 times harder than getting a picture of the 30 children.)
We literally can't even wait till next year.
On Monday we headed to the Happiest Place on Earth and we really were...
(wait for it)
...the Happiest People on Earth.]
For reals, though.
It was the Most. Amazing. Day.
Like literally the greatest day of my whole entire life.
We ran into some of our besties and even got Cameron into Jedi training camp.
(The above picture is possibly the cutest thing that's ever happened. The Jedi trainer girl came right up to Cameron and in front of the entire crowd asked him to do a little pose and scream. Sweet little Cameron paused for a second and then just politely smiled and said, "No."
Like... umm... NOOOO. Nope. No thank you. Hard pass.
I was DYING laughing.
And that is Cameron in a nutshell.)
He did annihilate Darth Vader, though. So, we'll keep him around.
We caught up with some of our Hill cousins and stuffed our faces with candy + watched all the parades + went on every possible ride (thank you Max Pass!) ...
and...
meet...
MICKEY!!!
This was my favorite moment of my favorite day. Bailey gave Mickey the cutest + longest + most adorable hug of all time. Like, she wouldn't let go. She just smiled and hugged and smiled some more and hugged more and my heart exploded and she kept hugging.
At the end of the day, my feet hurt from walking, and my cheeks hurt from smiling.
The next day we took a trip to Balboa and hopped on a boat for a...
Whale Watching Cruise!!
We saw 1 whale and about 200 dolphins.
The only thing we liked more than the dolphins was the Peanut Butter shake at Ruby's afterward.
We got to see our sweet Grandparents the next morning and then...
we joined a merry pirate cruise!
Aubrey was chosen as the chief pirate (of course).
and we all had a
jolly
good
time.
