One Of These Things Is Not Like the Other Ones...

I knew Cameron was a boy before he was a boy.
I could tell.
He was different.
Not better.  Not worse.  But undeniably different.
And BOY, was I right.

The first (and most visibly obvious) difference is size.
He is a shrimp. He's light and lean and there's not a roll in sight.

And he has no bum.

Brooklyn was in the 85th percentile.
Aubrey was in the 97th percentile.
Cameron barely makes the 3rd percentile.

The next difference is how busy he is.
Calling Cameron "busy" is like calling water wet.  Like calling the beach sandy.  Like calling the sun hot.
He is B.U.S.Y.

Trying to change his diaper is like trying to wrestle a wet pig into a wet suit.
It's so. much. fun.
(It's actually not, though.)

He has to climb everything all the time.  He can climb our stairs in 7 seconds.  He can climb onto coffee tables.  He can climb out of his high chair.  He can climb out of shopping carts.  He can even climb a human being.

Every morning I bring him into my bed to snuggle his little buns and sometimes I try to fall back asleep while he's playing.
Yea, right.
It's like he's playing Twister.  Right foot - Mom's eye.  Left hand - Mom's armpit.
He is not content if he's not allowed to move.  Being held is his worst nightmare.
If you pick him up, he wants down.  If he's down, he wants to get up.
If he's eating, he wants to be playing.  If he's playing, he wants to be eating.
He's completely exhausting.
And completely perfect.
Oh, and his head fits between our stair rails.
It's really great.
Except not.

He's into everything.
My girls were not.
They sat there like bumps on a log and watched "Baby Einsteins" while I scrapbooked.

I can't even imagine doing that with Cameron.

It would not be cute.

One final difference between these kidos is how much this guy is a Momma's boy.
He likes Luke too.  A little bit.
But he adores me.

And the feeling is mutual.

He is too cute! There's no denying that boys are significantly different from girls. Busy. yep. He is getting big...for him anyway! Definitely missed the chunky-baby genes, but he's adorable anyway! I do remember Aubrey, the little chunk! :D

Ah, I love him! And I think it is great he is a Mama's Boy. I have one of those, too and I love it!
