Can You Celebrate Labor Day If You've Never Worked a Day in Your Life?

Why, yes.
Yes, you can.
In honor of Labor Day (which I think is a weird holiday, but I'll take any holiday I can get), we Labored.
We worked on our swimming skills in the pool (both girls can finally swim on their own, completely unassisted, without flotation devices, without drowning.  Halleluiah.).
Aubrey labored on the Rubix Cube.  For a very. long. time.
She actually solved it in the end (with a teeny bit of help from Luke).
  I ate this.

And then I was forced to labor at my friend's gym.  I could not sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, touch, or look at my legs for the preceding 5 days.
Still, so worth it.

We worked on our ability to drive my mother completely crazy.  She's not a fan of the spray-whip-cream-into-your-mouth-and-then-I'll-spray-it-into-mine ritual.
She seriously wanted to strangle Luke.  I could see it in her eyes.
At first I thought it was disgusting and then I tried it, and it turns out it is disgusting.

We also took the opportunity to work on our diving skills.
(I think Luke needs to work a little on his coaching skills.  Ouch.)

Luckily for Aubrey, her mom is a professional diving coach.
(Surprise!!  More on this coming soon...)
So I stepped in and ...
WHAM!!
 I give it a 9.5

After swimming, the girls headed out to labor in the stores to find the best deals.  It was hard work, but someone's got to do it.  Luckily, we're pretty experienced laborers and we got the job done in no time.

So even though it wasn't entirely labor-free, it was the best Labor Day on record.
Happy Labor Day.
