This week (which has been one of the K-raz-iest weeks of our lives), Cameron turned the big ONE.
In celebration, we went to Disneyland.
Without him.
(Shhh. He doesn't need to know.)
We had a party for him though and it was great. But we'll get to that later.
But for now - we need to capture Cameron in all of his ONE-year-old glory.

If there is ONE thing Cameron loves, it's his family. He's a momma's boy, his daddy's buddy, and his sister's little play toys.
If there is ONE thing that Cameron hates, it's strangers.
He will scream at them. He will scowl at them. He will make them cry.
If there's one thing you should never do to Cameron, it's throw him in the air.
He does NOT find it funny.
(We still do, though.)
If you want Cameron to sit still for ONE second, you better have something that is covered in sugar.
If Cameron is hungry, you have exactly ONE minute to remedy the situation.
It takes ONE of his magical little smiles to melt me on the spot.
He gives me less than ONE minute to get anything done when he's awake. I still hold him about 90% of the day. It's killing my back (but at least my arm muscles are coming along nicely).
(Does he or does he not look like he's performing a really powerful last note on a Broadway stage in this picture? )
There is not ONE (or two, or three) bruises on Cameron's head at the moment. There are four. (He falls A LOT.)
He is now in the ONE percent aisle on the growth chart. He weighs in at a shocking 16 lbs. I've been feeding him straight butter, but it's not helping. (It's almost true.)
He will do his tricks for you ONE time. ONE. No more.
(And he'll make you work for it.)
Current trick list:
Clapping, clicking his tongue, saying "Mom, Dad, Uh oh," doing an assisted somersault, going down the stairs, sleeping through the night (4 months now), and growling.
He is ONE (of a kind).
Now for the party details...
It was Dr. Seuss themed and it was fun, fun, fun.
Here's the cake that I made.
I did the rest though. (Pinterest helped. A little bit.)
We sang to Cameron, Aubrey blew out the candles, and Cameron was confused.
Then he played with his straw and the world made sense again.
He opened his presents and fell in love with his new robot and his new set of balls.
It was like he'd never been given a boy toy before in his life.
(And actually, he hasn't.)
And then things got really crazy and people were hung upside down and balls were banged on people's heads and the sugar overload came out with a vengeance.
It was a good first birthday for a great little boy.
Happy First Birthday, Big Guy.
We love you.

OMGosh! I can't believe he's 1! What a cutie! Love the Dr. Seuss theme!
That year went fast!!! Happy Birthday Cameron. He is such a cutie and the party looks fun.
Oh, I wanted to come to this so bad! We were really going to try and make it out there, but Sunday was not a good day for Ellie (we think she's finally teething), and we decided it would be best if we didn't. It looks like it was super cute and fun, though!
