Bailey has officially been in our home now for five whole weeks.
FIVE. WEEKS.
It's absolutely inconcievable.
(We are going with "The Princess Bride" for our Halloween costume theme this year, so I'm trying to incorporate phrases from the movie in every-day conversation. :)
Bailey is everyone's favorite everything.
She is more fun than any toy, more fought over than any item, and more valued than any treasure.
Each of the kids already have such a unique and individual relationship with her.
She thinks everything Bailey does is noteworthy. She's constantly telling us every insignificant move Bailey makes and pointing out the little details that we all love so much. Brooklyn is easily distracted by Bailey and can hardly focus on any task when Bailey is around to be noticed and doted on.
Brooklyn will be the most supportive big sister ever.
Aubrey is her second mom.
Unless Aubrey is at school or out of the house, no one else gets their hands on Bailey. Aubrey wants to hold her, feed her, burp her, change her, dress her, rock her, stare at her, and snuggle her at all times. It doesn't matter if anyone else wants to help, according to Aubrey, it is always her turn.
Cameron is her playful protector.
He absolutely adores her in the sweetest brotherly way. Today when she woke up he said, "I want to see if she is still the cutest cutie. Oh yep, she is!" He is still cautiously inquisitive about her, but he constantly remarks on her cuteness and is protective of her safety. When we went to see my grandparents in their care center, one of the older residents remarked that they were going to just take her home with them. He absolutely panicked. It was awesome.
He also already loves to play with her. The other day while he was playing trains and she was hanging out on her blanket on the floor near him, I walked into the room to discover that he had built the train track right over the top of her stomach. And she totally didn't mind.
