'Twas the day after Thanksgiving and all along the shore
A family was playing, avoiding their chores
The weather was perfect, the crowds were all gone
So we stayed on that beach from the dusk till the dawn
Jumping the waves, being mermaids in sand
Surfing the waves and getting all tanned,
We collected sea shells and got stung by sting rays
This one was really, the greatest of days
Then Braden and Chelsey joined in on the fun
And taught Brooklyn to surf in the last rays of the sun.
Then for night on the beach, the fire was glowing
So we made our dinner, and no wind was blowing
Then we roasted s'mores and had about five of them each
'Cause everything's better when it's on the beach!
And after our hike to the car without light,
We all agreed - that was one awesome night!
