*If you have never seen the show, "Project Runway", you may not understand this post in the slightest.
And that is your own fault.
This week, my very own home became the set of "Project Runway: Halloween Edition," and so without further ado, here it is.

Previously on Project Runway...
Ashley attempted to make a skirt for Brooklyn with her newly acquired sewing machine, but ran into trouble when she realized she had no idea how to actually sew. In the end, she squeaked by on a wing and a prayer and managed to pull out a sweet little skirt re-do that was adored by the judges.
The following week's episode featured a double challenge in which Ashley attempted to make not one, but two matching skirts with no pattern, no time, and (oh, did I mention?) NO EXPERIENCE. Somehow, the result was 2 simple but darling skirts that were the highlight of the show.
In the last challenge, Ashley's look feel slightly flat and despite last minute efforts to "make it work," her choice of fabric and lack of tailoring landed her in the bottom two.
Project Runway theme music playing...
(Enter Heidi in some ridiculously short dress looking beautiful.)
"Hello designers."
"Hello."
"For your next challenge, I would like you to create a head-to-toe Halloween costume for a 2 year-old girl since the craptastic fairy costumes she had planned just wasn't cutting it. You will be given 12 hours and $8.50 to create your look. Good luck, and I'll see you on the runway. Bye."
Tim Gun enters looking spiffy.
"Alright designers. You have 30 minutes to sketch and then we'll be heading off to buy fabric."
Fast forward through about 48 minutes of bickering, back-biting, sewing, whining, cutting, and moaning and groaning.
Enter Heidi once more.
"Hi. Welcome to the runway. As you know if fashion, one day you're in, and the next day.... you're out. Let's meet our judges. First, we have your husband Luke. He knows nothing about fashion, but will not hesitate to tell you if he things your look sucks. Next, we have Aubrey Webb, the popular model and fashionista. And lastly, we have all your friends, family, and neighbors. Let's start the show."
It's my favorite part.
(Except when her skirt got turned around to the front. That was not good.)
Auf Wiedersehen!
Next week on Project Runway:
Halloween, and more Halloween, and a birthday, and Halloween.
