Halloween: Rounds Two Through Five

"Halloween: Round Two" involved a Preschool Party and Costume Parade.
Despite a mother/daughter ("You WILL wear your boots!") wrestling match and a dalmation costume wardrobe malfunction, we had ourselves a grand ol' time.
And the hugs from Darth Vader weren't too bad either.
(Notice the ridiculous-looking boots.
I lost the wrestling match.
Obviously.)

"Halloween: Round Three" was our Branch's "Trunk-or-Treat" Activity.
(Don't know what Trunk-or-Treat is? Basically, it's the best idea ever. *See picture below for the general idea. I'm pretty sure Mormons invented it. On an unrelated note, I saw an advertisement for another church that did this activity, and their sign said, "Trick-or-Trunk."
I wanted to hit them.)

It involved me in all-out costume, a dark and slightly spooky night, and piping hot hot chocolate that was later spilled all down the front of me.
Not my favorite round.

"Halloween: Round Four" was another "Trunk-or-Treat" that we completely crashed. We showed up without a trunk and without a treat. Moochers? Um, yes.
Round Four involved cars that bit your hand when you reached for candy...
...and little girls that thought that was hilarious.
It involved friends who are amazing, and girls in costume who look ridiculous. (Me.)
And it involved a long conversation about "Project Runway," during which my children missed out on 2 rows of candy.
Such a tragedy.

"Halloween: Round Five" was good, old-fashioned, down-and-dirty, classic Trick-or-Treating. (On Saturday, not Sunday. Thank you, Iowa.)
It involved adorable pumpkins...horrifying ghouls...
...and red high heels.
I was finished after 4 houses.

And that was our Halloween.

so fun!!! I am glad there was so much to do this year! It definitely kept us busy when the man of the house was gone! By the way, Nicole Pfeiffer took our fam pics and she took them at the Wildrose or wild wood park just in clive where we always go, I can't remember the exact name, she did great though!
