The Webb Family: Reality Week

In the last 3 days, I have flown 1500 miles, driven for 5 hours, and slept for approximately 18 minutes.
(OK, a little more than 18 minutes - but not much.)
And here is how it all went down.
Reality style.

DAY ONE
"Survivor: Texas"
The next episode of Survivor should start in Des Moines, Iowa. Contestants should be given two toddlers who haven't eaten dinner, loaded onto a jumbo jet and filmed for the next 3 hour flight. Then they should be given 25 minutes to run with 2 kids, no stroller, a carry-on suitcase, a purse, 2 backpacks and 3 jackets and find their way through the maze that is the Dallas Fort Worth Airport to make their connecting flight. Oh, and one of their kids should pee their pants.
Entertaining?
I think yes.
(*Disclaimer: My kids are the best. They seriously made it easy. Our episode of "Survivor: Texas" probably wouldn't have even been worth watching. Except for all the awesome things that Aubrey kept saying on the plane. It was seriously stand-up comedy hour.)

DAY TWO
"The Newly Wed Game"
Remember Brad and Kellie? They are married. And they're like 14.
Brad played the ukelele. Kellie helped the kids go potty.
Brad made us watch ridiculous you-tube videos (I've had the Taylor Swift "my monologue" song stuck in my head ever since.), Kellie colored enormous pictures.
Brad gave Aubrey fake dog poop.
And Aubrey ate her breakfast with it on her leg.
Yum.
Grandpa Smith (Luke's favorite political strategy conversationalist) and Grandma Smith (the world's most courageous and amazing woman) stopped by for a brief visit. It was lovely.

DAY TWO: Episode Two
"The Biggest Loser"
It was exactly like the "The Biggest Loser." Except the opposite.
For lunch we hit up Cafe Rio and ate until we couldn't sit. Or stand.
The food was great.
And the friends were better.

DAY THREE:
"Brady and Debbie Plus Four"All the madness of "John and Kate Plus Eight", minus the TV cameras.
Seriously, really good times.
They are the sweetest and most hilarious host and hostess and we adore their family; whether or not the feeling is mutual.

DAY THREE: episode 2
"Webb's Got Talent"
We ate Thanksgiving dinner (yes, Thanksgiving dinner. You can be thankful anytime, thank you very much.) After dinner, the show got under way with an impromptu talent competition.

There was singing.

There was dancing.

There was flipping.

There was kicking people in the face.

There were my kids. Being dogs and showing off their dog tricks.
Yes, I'm serious.

But the undisputed winner was Grandma Lori, who stood on her head and sang "Jingle Bells."
She's still got it.
