In case you had not noticed, our foursome is now a trio.
Calm down.
We're not getting divorced.
Luke has been off playing doctor in Pocatello and us girls have been holding down the fort.
I'd say we're doing a terrific job.
See?
And despite all appearances, we miss him.
Badly.
I miss his good-bye kiss every morning while I'm still fast asleep in my bed.
The girls miss his horse rides around the house.
I miss beating him at solving the "Wheel of Fortune" puzzles.
The girls miss his stories.
I miss his stories too.
They miss his teasing.
I miss our evening talks.
(And don't even try to pretend that having a phone conversation is the same thing.)
I miss our Sunday afternoon naps.
They miss his hugs.
Calm down.

Having never heard me leave and thinking I was still in the house, they naturally assumed it was Luke coming in.
Brooklyn screamed at the top of her lungs, "DADDY!!! DADDY'S HOME! AUBREY, DADDY'S HOME!!!!!"
Imagine her disappointment when it was only me.
It broke both our hearts.
Next time, everyone will be informed when I take the trash out.
We miss him.

wow!!! what a feathery room you guys made! Can't imagine what that was like to clean up but it looked totally fun!!! You are such a fun mom! We totally can understand and relate to your missing Luke! It really puts a damper on things when the man of the house is gone, the girls are a little sadder and so am I but we just go about each day and count down until we see him next! Aren't you glad we don't have to wait months and months to see our husbands!
Wow. So pillows actually do that? I thought feathers flying from pillows were the stuff of myths. So, thank you Ashley for a mini myth-busters. Good luck with having Luke gone. I know that's tough.
That is one amazing mess! Did you set your camera timer to take pictures of all of you together?? Good thing there is an end to the madness! You will get to see him soon!!!! We will miss seeing you guys for 2 months!!!
So if Luke's gone, who took those pictures?
