Oh, What Did We Do in the Summertime?

Remember how at the beginning of the summer I got super ambitious and made a list of a ridiculous amount of fun things that I had every intention of doing and then I remembered that I am pregnant, poor, and preoccupied?  

Me too.

But for the sake of documentation, here are a few of the highlights that we did manage to do...

#9 - Watch a Movie in the Theatre

We chose Cars 2.  It was lame and we had to leave the theater on three separate occasions. Boo.

#13 - Feed the Ducks

We forgot to bring bread for the ducks to eat, so we ended up giving them powdered donuts.  They scarfed them.  Also, this may have been the first time we were around ducks that Aubrey didn't get bit.  Yay!

#28: Go to the Bodies Exhibit

Pretty cool, except everyone was naked.  Like - really, REALLY buck naked.  It was all real dead people's bodies which completely grosses me out and fascinates me at the same time.  We took the kids (they loved it - this is sooo Brooklyn's kind of thing) and Aubrey ALMOST touched a man's.......... thing.  Yep.

#14 - Make Rock Candy

We tried to make rock candy.  But all we made was 2 week-old sugar water.  Boo. 

#23: Ride A Carousel

 

Done.

#39: Make Homemade Icecream

So good we had to make it twice.

#37: Pick Raspberries

Amazing.  I want to do it again right now.  

#10: Go to Sonic Happy Hour

They got our order size wrong.  There were chunks in my drink - I HATE chunks in my drink.  And Brooklyn spilled her slushie in her lap and all over the rest of the newly cleaned car.  Happy Hour was actually Unhappy Hour.  Boo.

So far, we've done 29 out of 50 on our list.  

We've got 5 days till school starts.
