Once upon a time we wanted to buy a new couch.
So we looked on Craigslist.
Mistake number one.
Then we drove to the lady's smoke-filled, cat-hair covered, hasn't had a window open in about 6 years apartment to look at it.
Mistake number two.
Then we bought it.
Mistake number three.
Now our lovely new couch is sitting in our storage unit because it stinks so bad that we didn't dare let it enter the house.
After applying 4 different deodorizing treatments to it, Luke was able to put his nose down to within 2 feet of it and not gag.
Don't you just LOVE Craigslist?
P.S. Anyone want to buy a couch?

EWWW!! Sorry :( Have you tried an upholstery cleaning service? They can probably clean it up like new. Good Luck!
hehe, mistake #3 is the kicker. :) Find an Ozone odour removal service. It's what me and Mifsud do up here and it works. but still.... rofl

Yeah, I kinda made a little rule for myself that I only buy things on craigslist that don't involve fabric or upholstery. It us just too creepy otherwise. But, don't worry, I totally would have done the same thing in a fit of fury. Good luck re-selling it. :P
