Webb News at 9

Hello, and welcome to Webb News at 9. Tonight's breaking story: What's Mommy's favorite thing? We go live to Brittany in West Des Moines for the story. Brittany...

Thank you, Ashley.
I'm here in West Des Moines, Iowa with little Brooklyn Webb who earlier made a startling discovery. While watching the movie "Cars", Brooklyn turned to her cousin Jake and announced, "
"Cars is my favorite. Glen Beck is daddy's favorite."
After her parents laughed for a moment, Daddy asked her,
"What's mommy's favorite?"
Brooklyn thought for a minute and then got really excited, and answered,
"Money!"
And there you have it folks. Mommy's favorite thing is money.
Now back to you in the studio.

Thanks for that alarming story. In other news, the Webbs are having a wonderful time showing their guests all that Des Moines has to offer (even though every plan they've made has somehow gone terribly wrong - they're still having a blast.)

In Beauty & Style news, Brooklyn now has a lovely new shade of nail polish courtesy of Brittany Campbell.

Thanks Brittany, for reminding us that yes... Brooklyn is a girl.

In Political News, we go live to Luke on Capital Hill for a breaking story.

(Luke) Good evening. I'm live here in downtown Des Moines where thousands have gathered in front of the capital for a "tea party" in protest of the spending, bail-outs, and egregious policies of both state and federal government.
As you can see, there is quite a turn-out from Des Moines, adding to the estimated one million people nation-wide for what is sure to go down in the history books as a memorable event for all Americans who are "Tea-d off" about where the country is headed.

Tonight in sports, we travel to Valley Junction to learn more about the new sport that is taking America by storm: extreme photography.
In extreme photography, the photographer must capture three subjects under the age of 3 and get just one picture that is in focus and has all three subjects looking at (not smiling, just looking at) the camera. We go now to Aubrey with the story.

(Aubrey) I'm here live at the first Extreme Photography match-up of the year. On one team we have Aubrey, Brooklyn and Jake playing against Ashley. Let's take a look at some highlights. Jake pulls out the spectacular "throw-your-head-back-at-the-last-second" move.
Brooklyn gets creative and ruins what could have been an absolutely amazing shot. Way to go Brooklyn!
Aubrey and Jake double-team the opposition, and come up with yet another point.
In this play, Brooklyn apparently missed the game plan in the huddle and forfeits one for the team.
Interference from the coach. Again, point goes to the kids.
Oh, wow!! Mom slips this one in at the buzzer, and is declared the winner!

And the losing team isn't happy about it. What an exciting season opener! We'll be sure to keep you updated with all the match-ups as they unfold. Now back to you in the studio.

Thanks, Aubrey. Finally in Weather, the forecast looks like it will be a wonderful week filled with sunshine, fun, excitement, and adventure.
We'll see you later this week when we go undercover to discover the truth about naptime. Good night.
