My dad was always reading us Dr. Seuss books when I was a kid, so I am going to pass on the joy to you.
Here' my version of our Easter weekend.
Dr. Seuss style.
This week was a rough one with some good and some bad
And Aubrey is grateful she has a cool dad

We did lots of falling and crying and screaming
It's now Sunday night and we're all in bed dreaming

Brooklyn tripped on the curb and scraped up her chin
But a few seconds later she was back with a grin.

With her trusty Easter basket - Lightening McQueen
She was off on an egg hunt just living the dream

We hunted for eggs and found lots of candy
From Ben's basket to Brooklyn's - now isn't that dandy?

Aubrey struggled at first to keep up with the pack
She liked picking up eggs. And then putting them back.

We made a few chicks
and stuck them on sticks

We gobbled them up one bite at a time
They were scrumptious and fattening - oh, how sublime!

Then dinner at our house - potatoes and ham
With the Zarkous, the Sudweeks, and of course... baby Sam.
Then just before we tucked ourselves in
We talked about Jesus - how He saved us from sin.
And even though He got "owies" - it's all okay
Because He rose from the dead on the third Easter day.

Happy Easter!!
