Lately, we've found a new obsession.
The Lion King.
Every single day.
Sometimes twice.
The girls sing the songs, they quote the characters, and they make us call them "Simba" and "Nala."
Which is why I shouldn't be the slightest bit surprised about what happened.
I took the girls to the play area at our local mall and was nice and cozy on the little bench when all the sudden I hear:
"SCAR!!!! Help me!"
I look over and behold this:
(Well, not really this. I made them re-enact the whole thing so I could snap a picture with my ridiculous "dumb-phone.")

At this point, a few of the kids that were playing stopped what they were doing and watched the scene unfold. Some of the adults around (and one particularly darling pair of Grandparents) also started on-looking.
Aubrey (aka. Scar) viciously grabbed Brooklyn's (aka. Mufassa's) hands and whispered dramatically,
"Long live... the King!!"
She then proceeded to fling Brooklyn off of the big plastic ship where Brooklyn consequently crumbled to the ground in a dead, dramatic heap.
...And the crowd went wild.
(The crowd being me.
And the Grandpa.)

Oh my gosh, that is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I can just imagine that unfolding in the middle of the mall.
The Lion King has always been one of my favorite movies, ever since I saw it when I was about your girls' age. They have great taste! :D
