I Heart Stalkers. (Just read the post...)

Dear Blog Lurkers/Stalkers,
I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking a lot about you lately. And I have decided that, well, we're cool.

The day my Brooklyn was born, something happened to me. I had this strange sensation (a couple of them, if we're being honest) that I had never felt before. I don't know what to label it as, but the closest I can get to describing it is this: absolute soul-shaking, out-of-my mind, psychotic PANIC. It was overwhelming. I have never been a worrier. Ever. But all of a sudden, I had a little person relying on me and I could not stop worrying.
What if I dropped her?
What if she grew up to hate me?
What if she just stopped breathing?
What if the nurse that just took her out of the room is really an under-cover baby hungry widow posing as a health care professional to steal my child and raise her in a shack in the forest? (I blame this one on the pain meds.)

And then I decided something.
I could worry about everything, or I could stop and actually start enjoying it.
And I chose the latter.
It's been way more fun.

And that, dear blog stalker, is what brings me to you. Because, I don't mind if you read my blog. (*Disclaimer: If you are a psycho that wants to kill me and my family, you are exempted from this letter. Go away.) I must confess that I too have wandered onto strangers blogs and found myself enjoying them. I am not crazy, and I'm trusting that you are not either.

Since December 2009, we have had 13,040 visitors to our blog and to you I say, rock on. You are welcome here. It's actually nice to know that someone out there finds the tales of my obscure life entertaining. But could you do me a favor? If we're friends, strangers, relatives, friends of a friend, or something else, leave me a comment and let me know who you are. I'll sleep better at night and maybe we can even be blog friends.
