Dr. Seuss's Easter - Volume 2

Last year our Easter post looked something like this.

Now it's a tradition, so nothing we'll miss.
Sit back and relax as you see our whole day
"Dr. Seuss style's" back, so enjoy it you may!

Egg hunt #1 went by in a flash
Of lighting that is - we had to make a mad dash!
The girls were so quick - they gathered eggs in a furry
And that explains why all my pictures are blurry.
Last year Brooklyn kept stealing kid's candy
Now Aubrey caught on - and she found it quite handy.
Our same friends were back and they made it so fun
We were sad when it ended and the eggs were all done.
The very next day we were back with a mission.
(They sang "Happy Birthday" - 'twas a lovely rendition.)
Aubrey was thrilled to be at it once more.
When you're getting candy, it's never a bore.
Brooklyn got eggs, but her main prize this year
Was running off to the sunrise with a sweet little dear.
And then it was home, where my wish was fullfilled.
A whole day to myself - you can bet I was thrilled!!
Then again, once more, hunting eggs we did go.
Easter morning at home, our excitement did grow.
The Easter bunny went all out this time.
It was a perfect celebration - so sweet and sublime.
But the best moment of all came right at the start.
When the girls climbed in bed and warmed up my heart.
We talked about Easter the real, true reason
And how we remember every year at this season.
The eggs and the candy are all great and fine
But what's really important was Christ's love divine.
