Cameron the Cop

If you've ever talked to Cameron for more than 90 seconds, you know he wants to be a cop when he grows up.  He wears his cop costume several times a week + he is always on the look-out for "bad guys" + he isn't afraid to tell people (present company included) when they're breaking a rule. (His sisters looooove that about him.)
A few nights ago, he got to be in his Transitional Kindergarten's performance of "Community Helpers".  He was crushed to find out that there was no role of police officer, but he settled with being a Crossing Guard.
And let me tell you - there is no cuter crossing guard in ALL THE LAND.
He sang his little heart out, nailed his line, and made this mama so proud.
 Bailey, however.... not so much.

Dr. Seuss Easter - Episode 8

(Previous Dr. Seuss Easter Posts:

 Another year, another post
About how this Easter was better than most
It's Dr. Seuss time and it's episode eight
So just keep on reading - let's get this thing straight.
This Easter weekend was different than others
There were 24 kids and 6 worn-out mothers.
The husbands went golfing, the girls took a swim
where I basically became a wet jungle gym.
Then after baking for hours in the sun
We joined in a carnival and had some fun
Easter bunny pictures and jumping sack races
And pie eating contests and messy/cute faces.
Then a BBQ dinner and a quick egg search
Then s'mores with our friends the night before church.
Easter morning the bunny had come
So we hunted for eggs with some help from grandmum.
Bailey found a cute bunny
The girls got some toys and Cameron some money.
Then after a picture, to church we all went
to learn about Jesus and why he was sent.
And how on this Easter and every single day
We get to be grateful and sing and pray.
And remember the Savior and his act of love
And all of the blessings he sends from above.

Happy Easter!
Love, the Webbs

Challenge Accepted

This January, our Stake President (the local leader of our church) issued a challenge for each family to read the Book of Mormon before our Stake Conference.  We had 99 days.  The Book of Mormon is 531 pages.  (That equals 5.36 pages a day.)
It wasn't easy, but we did.
And it was the greatest 99 days we've ever had.

Leaving {sort of} on a Jet Plane

We are building a house.
It's amazing.  And stressful.  And surreal.  And madness.  And a TOTAL blessing.

For Spring Break, we headed up to Idaho to check on it.
But the night before we left, Bailey was posessed and stayed up till 2am poking our faces and making us her very own semi-sleeping jungle gyms.  We knew it wouldn't be pretty.
We went to the airport and boarded our airplane and got pulled out to the runway and then the pilot came on the loudspeaker and announced that while they were towing us out, a part had snapped off the plane and we had to get off + wait for 4 hours + try again.
Oy Vey.
Eventually we made it to Idaho and drove to our little hole in the ground to check it out.  We are literally giddy over this future home.  It was 12 degrees (OK, 40.  But it felt more like 12.) and look at those smiling faces.
Look. at. them.
Quick facts: We are living on the cutest, sweetest street + We have THE nicest neighbors ever + There are about 395 kids on our block + We have a community pool/tennis courts/walking trails + The sunsets sometimes look like this...
Plus, there are not any better dirt piles than the ones they are using to build our house with.
Top quality dirt right here, people.
On one of the days we went to visit the house, the workers were there pouring and smoothing out the concrete.  So we begged and pleaded and bribed them into lowering us one-by-one down a ladder and leaving our hand prints.  (This is the corner of our cold storage room, so it'll never be covered up. ) Is it wrong that I totally love Bailey's little smeared/imperfect fist bump which we had her practice in the dirt 17 times and then she totally messed up when she actually did it?  Like, I adore it.  It's just so her.  And I plan on going into our cold storage room every day and just staring at it and crying over how big she's getting while eating a whole pack of chocolate chips by myself.
 Alright.  Moving on...

We also managed to have a little bit of fun while we there including
Beautiful days in the Idaho sun +
snuggle time with cousins +
 trampoline park fun +
 visits to Grandpa Matt +
 playtime with more cousins +
selfie lessons from Aunt Chelsey +
movie time with the Beauties +
one AWESOME vacation.

Mama NOSE Best

We've never had a child get hospitalized.  We've never had a child get stitches.  We've never had a child break a bone.  We've never had a child even get more than a minor injury.  We've been extremely lucky in the accident-free department.

Enter Bailey Jane.
A few weeks ago little miss Bailey broke a bracelet while she was playing.  She picked up one of the beads that fell off the bracelet and promptly shoved it UP. HER. NOSE.

WHY IN THE HE&*#%$)@($&*#%^#*($@^#$()?!?

After several attempts to get it out, Luke finally took her into the ER where they were eventually successful.  We remarked to each other that "at least she'll never do that again."  And then the VERY next morning, SHE DID IT AGAIN.

So back to the ER we went where they fished out - once again - another bead.

It has now been 3 weeks and we have dug 6 beads out of this child's nose.

SEND. HELP.

Daddy Daughter Date Night

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves, so the only thing I have to say is that I'm not sure if I am the luckiest for getting him as a husband, or if they are the luckiest for getting him as a dad.
